*This privacy policy is intended to provide information on how and why Smartwaves AS collects and processes your personal data.
Your personal data is processed in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.
Your personal data will be treated confidentially by us and only those with a business need will have access to your personal data. As a general rule, we will therefore not share your personal data with anyone outside smartwaves.cloud, unless this is required by law (for example to public authorities and to comply with anti-money laundering legislation).
However, personal data may be made available to other companies and partners who, by agreement with us, are responsible for personnel administration, accounting, etc. and to those companies who, by agreement with us, are responsible for the technical operation of our IT and accounting systems. When we give third parties access to personal data in this way, we ensure that these third parties comply with our requirements for the processing of personal data and applicable legislation, including confidentiality.
In some cases, we may also share some of your personal data with our partners, such as banks and insurance companies. Please note that we will never share your personal data with a third party without your consent or unless we are required to do so by law (e.g. the Norwegian Tax Administration and NAV). We may also give third parties access to aggregated and anonymised data.
We only process personal data that is necessary to manage your customer relationship and any supplier relationship. The information we register is, for example, name, date of birth, telephone number, email address and postal address. Receiving marketing is voluntary.
We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a small text file and our website will always ask your browser to save the cookie on your computer. We do this so that we can remember your actions, preferences and how often you have visited our website. Furthermore, we also use cookies on our pages so that we can keep statistics on how often our websites are used in general.
- Analysis of how the websites are used by visitors.
- Tailoring content and marketing based on how users use the website
An overview of the cookies we use can be found at the bottom of the document.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is mainly contractual (employment contract, lease agreement, purchase/sale agreement, supplier contract, etc.) Legal authority may also be a basis, for example when reporting to the Norwegian Tax Administration and other public authorities. In addition to this, we will obtain your consent if necessary.
When using consent as a basis for processing, we will use our own consent form to obtain valid consent.
The personal data you register is stored on the servers of our data processors. We make sure to keep a safe and satisfactory storage of your data. The reason for this is that all EU/EEA states are obliged to meet the requirements of the GDPR and thus ensure the data subject a minimum level of privacy. In some cases, use is made of professional third parties located outside the EU/EEA for marketing purposes. In cases where personal data is recorded in connection with such marketing, the processing will be based on consent.
Smartwaves deletes your personal data without undue delay when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. If you withdraw the consent on which the processing of the data is based, or if you object to the processing and there are no other compelling legitimate grounds for the processing, we will delete your data. Please note that there may be legal requirements that mean that we are still obliged to retain your personal data for a certain period of time. We have specific erasure routines for each processing activity.
You have the right to request from us access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and disclosure of your personal data (data portability). In addition, you can request us to stop processing your personal data (withdrawal of consent). If you request us to exercise one or more of these rights, we will comply with your request within one month of the request being made, unless otherwise required by law. Requests can be addressed to the Human Resources Manager or the IT Operations Manager. If you believe we have violated data protection regulations, you have the opportunity to complain to the Data Protection Authority.
If you would like more information about our processing of personal data, please contact post@smartwaves.no.
Smartwaves may revise this Privacy Policy when the processing of personal data changes or when revision is necessary due to changes in applicable law. When we make changes to this Policy, we will change the revision date at the top of this page and the revised Privacy Policy will be effective from the last revision date.
